Once projectors go seriously down in price, it’s quite possible video art or projection art will overtake graffiti.  More people have access to video cameras on their smartphones and pre-installed editing software on their laptops than they have excess cash for spray paint which is quite expensive. 

Not everybody can illustrate, but everyone can point a camera… I’m not saying it’ll all be good.  I’m just saying there’s potential to be an art movement surpassing pop and graffiti.  The portability of pico-projectors and the advent of laser projectors all point to an insanely bright future, but we need projectors to be as cheap and disposable as desk lamps… so another 20 years?
